A total of 67 Ethiopian feature films, produced in 2014, were drawn into the competition and, out of these, 27 were nominated by 102 judges and independent viewers. The winners are as follows.

  1. Lifetime Achievement Award: Debebe Eshetu
  2. Best film by a student: “Hatiyat Yelielebet” – Abel Dawit
  3. Best Sound Mixing: “Nishan” – Ariellah Winther (from Denmark) [trailer]
  4. Best Original Song: “Kemis Yelebeskulet” – Abegasu Kibrework (arranger) & Zeritu Kebede (singer) [trailer]
  5. Best Original Score: “Kemis Yelebeskulet” – Abegasu Kibrework Shiota
  6. Best Makeup and Hairstyling: “Bechis Tedebke” – Dawit Alemayehu [trailer]
  7. Best Original Screenplay: “Rebuni” – Kidist Yilma [trailer]
  8. Best Cinematography: “Kemis Yelebeskulet” – Tariku Desalegn
  9. Best Upcoming Actress: “Kemis Yelebeskulet” – Zeritu Kebede
  10. Best Upcoming Actor: “Yaltasebew” – Eyob Dawit [trailer]
  11. Best Supporting Actress: “Bechis Tedebke” – Aziza Ahmed
  12. Best Supporting Actor: “Nishan” – Alebachew Mekonnen
  13. Best Actress: “Rebuni” – Ruta Mengistab
  14. Best Actor: “Bechis Tedebke” – Girum Ermias
  15. Bedele Special Viewer’s Choice Award Best Picture: “Rebuni
