Abay Tsehaye, special advisor to the Ethiopian Prime Minister visited the exhibition and met with OPEX organizing committee members.

Muscat, Oman―The four-day Omani Products Exhibition (OPEX 2016) will conclude in Addis Abbaba, Ethiopia, on Thursday.

The event has seen huge response from Ethiopian business owners, traders and investors. Partnership, and import and export agreements along with commercial agreements were signed during the first three days of the exhibition.

Abay Tsehaye, special advisor to the Ethiopian Prime Minister visited the exhibition and met with OPEX organizing committee members.

Abay Tsehaye hailed the efforts undertaken by the Omani government to develop the industrial sector whose contribution is estimated to be more than 11 per cent of the gross domestic product. “We are optimistic that this exhibition will be a step forward to boost trade relations between Ethiopia and Oman,” Abay Tsehaye said.

Eng Basim bin Ali al Nassri, director general of marketing and media at the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates said that the Ethiopian edition is the fifth OPEX event and more than 100 companies participated this year. “The previous OPEX events which were held in GCC countries have achieved positive outcomes, particularly through the presence of Omani products in these markets.”
